In President Duterte’s speech at the 120th anniversary of the Department of Justice (DOJ) held at Philippine International Convention Center, he again slammed ABS-CBN television network for allegedly not airing his election campaign ad in 2016.

President Duterte launched tirades at ABS-CBN’s chairman, Gabby Lopez III; however, the president mistakenly mentioned Gabby Concepcion instead of Gabby Lopez III.

“Sino naka-p—-na ninyong lahat. Ikaw? Gabby Concepcion, mukha kang pera, p—na ka. Eh totoo man. Eh sus,” Duterte rants, as quoted by GMA.

But in his succeeding statement, the president corrected himself.

“Makinig ka, Gabby Lopez — nag-place ako ng advertisement. Tinanggap ninyo ‘yung pera kong two million para kasi wala akong advertisement,” he said.

“Tanggap nang tanggap kasi kayo ng pera in the name of greed. Tanggap ng pera tapos kung makasalita kayo pati ‘yung Inquirer, kaming mga ––kung babuyin ninyo kaming mga taga-gobyerno, you picture us to be the corrupt o ano. Excuse me. Unfortunately, hindi ako ganoon. I would not have survived,” he added.

ABS-CBN Corporation has been frequently earning the fury of the President who has repeatedly accused the network of accepting funds from him without airing his political advertisements.

Meanwhile, the President also made mention that his daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, wanted to meet the ‘Mega Star’ Sharon Cuneta as a birthday present when she was in grade school.

“Pangilinan is my friend at may utang na loob ako sa kanya,” Duterte said. “Si Inday, when she was Grade 6, Grade 5, sabi ko: ‘Anak, anong gusto mong birthday gift?’ Sabi niya: ‘Gusto ko magkasama kami ni Sharon Cuneta.”

Duterte thanked Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan for helping him in setting up the meeting.

“I had to call Senator Pangilinan: ‘Senator, I owe you for doing this [for] my daughter. I respect you’,” Duterte said.

Pangilinan, an opposition senator, has earned the ire of Duterte for his Juvenile Justice Law, which the President blamed for the “people of criminal minds” proliferation.
