During Sunday night’s draw, September 10, a lone bettor won the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s Super Lotto 6/49 jackpot worth P234,261,400
The winning combination for the 6/49 jackpot was 29-25-19-23-07-30.

Meanwhile, there are no winners for Sunday’s Lotto 6/58 jackpot worth P50 million. The winning combination for the 6/58 jackpot was 34-37-39-26-23-10.

While many congratulated the sole winner – whoever that may be, many expressed their doubt on the PCSO lottery as there is no proof whatsoever that someone is really a winner, unlike in other countries where winners are announced and shown to the public.
“Kung sa US yan at sinabi na may nanalo maniwala pa ako kase ipapakita pa yung mukha nun nanalo.. pero dito sa pinas lagi nalang si lone bettor nanalo… haiszt… wag nalang tayo tumaya para wala sila makurakot…tsk”
“Raket yan…tagal Kona nataya umabot na sa senyor idad ko ala pa kahit 5number….Kung naghahanap kayo ng Suerte..sa buhay magwork nlang kayo ng maayos o negosyo..me panalo pa….”
There were also a few who admitted they have won a number of times with 5 digits and that’s it’s truly a game of chance. Some even mentioned personally knowing some people who really won the jackpot.
And still, there were those who defended the underlying reason for not announcing the names (as well as showing the faces) of jackpot winners.
“Siguro ang iniisip ng pamunuan ng pcso ay ang safety ng mga nanalo ng grand prize, yun nga lang na may maliliit na tindahan nilolooban at may mabalitaan lang na may pera dinadayo talaga para lang mautangan or mababalitaan mo na lang pinatay at ninakawan, yun pa kyang nakabalandra ang pagmumukha at naka-announce na sila ang nanalo ng grand prize, mas pabor ako na hindi ipakita ang identity ng winner kesa mapatay ng mga halang ang kaluluwa”
