Kapuso actor Dingdong Dantes thought Enrique Gil has improved a lot compared to the first time they were given the opportunity to work together in a movie.

Their first project together was in the 2013 movie ‘She’s The One’ and were again given the chance to work together for the second time in the 2017 family drama movie from Star Cinema ‘Seven Sundays’.

When asked about his first impression towards Dingdong, Enrique said: “Noong una kasi hindi pa kami close noon. First time niya nakilala sa family reunion, as per a story by PEP. [We were not close at first. He was first known at a family reunion.]

“Nakita ko siya and I knew artista siya. I saw you somewhere.” [I saw him and I knew he was an actor. I saw you somewhere.] “Bata pa ako nun. Wala pa ko sa showbiz nun. [I was younger at that time. I was not yet in showbiz that time.]

The actor added that he felt at ease around Dingdong when he was able to work with him and with Bea Alonzo in the movie ‘She’s The One’.

He disclosed that it was also the first time he and Liza Soberano met. ‘She’s The One’ is a 2013 movie starring Enrique, Bea, and Dingdong. Liza Soberano also had a minor yet very important role in this Star Cinema movie.

Dingdong told PEP in an interview when asked about the changes he had noticed towards Enrique, the GMA-7 actor teased: “Noon, ang difference binabakuran pa lang niya si Liza. Ewan ko lang ngayon.” [Before, the difference is that he was just starting to guard Liza. I just don’t know about now.]

On this, Enrique laughed and defended: “Hindi ko binabakuran!” [I wasn’t guarding (her)!]

Dingdong insisted: “Naging saksi ako dati, naging witness ako nun. Nagpapakiramdaman pa kayo nun.” [I was a witness before. You were still trying to be at ease around each other.]

Because of ‘She’s The One’, Enrique and Liza have deeply known each other and that’s how the LizQuen love team started. Liza is rumored to be Enrique’s girlfriend.

Meanwhile, Dingdong on a serious note said Enrique has matured a lot, relaying ‘He’s willing to take risks. He’s willing to level up lalo na sa performance.” [especially with his performance.]

“Ako as a co-actor very proud ako. And not just as a co-actor but proud rin ako as a relative by blood.” [I, as a co-actor, am very proud. And not just as a co-actor but I am also proud as a relative by blood.]

The Kapuso actor was all praise when asked how it was working with ‘Seven Sundays’ co-actor Aga Muhlach, even mentioning that he was admittedly a fan of Aga growing up.

He added that the reason he was convinced to being an actor is also because of Aga’s work.

And now that he has worked closely with the actor, Dingdong expressed he is more than a fan now of Aga’s character. “Mas fan ako ng kanyang persona more than him being an actor dahil nabigyan ako ng pagkakataon na makilala siya at nabigyan ako ng pagkakataon na maging younger brother to him because yung whole process namin of making this film is like the process also of being in a family.

[I’m more a fan of his persona than him being an actor because I was given the opportunity to know him and have been given the chance to be his younger brother to him because the whole process of making this film is like the process also of being in a family.]

Dingdong shared that one of the things he is grateful for as an actor is the opportunity to be able to get to know fellow actors, and get to experience different roles and being brothers to other people.

According to PEP, Dingdong recently revealed that the movie ‘Seven Sundays’ is one of the films he has dreamed to do. The movie has been Graded A by the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB).
