President Rodrigo Duterte has appointed officers-in-charge (OIC) for the the Department of Health (DOH) and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
Presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella announced in a briefing on Thursday the appointment of Undersecretary Herminigildo Valle as DOH OIC and Undersecretary Eliseo Mijares Rio Jr. as DICT OIC.
After former Health Secretary Ubial was rejected by the Commission on Appointments on Tuesday, Valle was appointed as OIC of the DOH .
Meanwhile, Mijares’ appointment came after former DICT Secretary Rodolfo Salalima resigned from his post a month ago.
Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea signed the appointment papers on October 10 by authority of the President.
