On Monday, President Rodrigo Duterte declared November 13, 14, and 15 as special (non-working) days in the National Capital Region (NCR) and the provinces of Pampanga and Bulacan.
Proclamation No. 332 was released by Malacañang in anticipation of the 31st ASEAN Summit and Related Summits.
In accordance with the proclamation, Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno has ordered work suspension for all courts in the NCR, Pampanga and Bulacan from November 13 to 15.
Access issues and security preparations for the international summit were cited as reasons for the suspension.
Sereno also directed all executive judges in the first and second level courts in NCR, Pampanga and Bulacan to maintain a skeletal force in their offices so that emergency filings and issuance of urgent reliefs may be attended to.
