Kathryn Bernardo shares strong words against cyberbullying and how it had affected her.
Kathryn shared a photo of her on her Instagram account with the caption: “Being called names is painful. But one good thing about pain is it teaches you that you are more than hurtful words and labels. You are more than the flaws that people see. You are more than their victim. Choose to stand up against cyberbullying and BE MORE!”
Kathryn, along with her loveteam Daniel Padilla, are the Philippine ambassadors for the CyberSmile Organization based in the UK and US. The organization aims to create awareness on the effects and impact of cyberbullying and encourages everyone to stop doing it.
Kathryn’s mother, Min Bernardo also took to Instagram to share her appreciation to her daughter’s supporters. She also contined to share a short message to KathNiel’s bashers, “Sa mga bashers and haters ni Kathryn at KathNiel, kasama na ang lahat ng mga nag-iisip ng masama sa amin, God bless your souls!” [To all the bashers and haters of Kathryn and KathNiel, including those who think wrongly of us, God bless your souls!]
Before Kathryn posted her message, she trended on Twitter after a viral video about her made the rounds online. The video allegedly showed Xander Ford bashing her by calling her “sakang” or bowlegged, as per an article by Kicker Daily News. However, Xander has denied that the voice in the video is him; ‘kaboses lang.’
