A wild boar measuring about 1.2 meters in length went on a rampage in a residential area in Japan early Sunday morning, October 1, seriously injuring at least two persons.
As per Tokyo Reporter, the Nagasaki Prefectural Police reported that at around 8 a.m. the wild boar upended a 59-year-old wheelchair-bound man in a residential area in Kamishimacho. The boar bit his head and hand. Minutes later, an 89-year-old woman was also attacked, her hand also bitten by the tusked boar.
Both victims also suffered broken fingers.
A man went to help and hit the wild boar with his golf club, before police shot it dead, ending its eight-hour reign of terror.
But before it was shot, the boar rammed into a car and charged at a motorbike. The drivers of both vehicles were reportedly unhurt.
