The five members of the notorious bank robbery group “Termite gang” have been arrested earlier this week. They were identified as Jordan Duldulao, Neilbert Bautista, Alison Aliga, Jeraldyn Bawas and Ambrose Lex Layao by authorities.

They were captured while surveying the area of their next target: a BDO branch in Cubao.

“Yung isa nga, sakto, inabot pa namin, nagsusukat pa ng paa mula sa gutter nung EDSA papunta sa pintuan ng BDO,” [We caught one suspect in the act while he was measuring the distance from a gutter at EDSA to the BDO (bank) by feet] according to Senior Inspector Alan Dela Cruz.

At the suspects’ getaway vehicle, the cops found guns, ammunitions, and tools for excavating and melting metals.

The Police is currently investigating a member of the Special Action Force (SAF) because he is the owner of the termite gang’s hideout in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.

The group is the prime suspect on the recent robbery at Chinabank-Commonwealth and was also allegedly responsible for the robbery of pawnshops and hardware stores in Gumaca Quezon, Cavite, Marikina and Tarlac.

Other members of the group are being hunted by the authorities.
