Sabrina The Teenage Witch might be getting a reboot. It was one of the most successful series during the 90’s which aired for seven years.
The meeting was held at the Comic Con Los Angeles, and was attended by Melissa Joan Hart (Sabrina), Nick Bakay (Salem Saberhagen), Caroline Rhea (Hilda Spellman), Beth Broderick (Zelda Spellman), Nate Richert (Harvey Kinkle), Alimi Ballard (Albert Sinodal), David Lascher (Josh), Soleil Moon Frye (Roxie King) and Elisa Donovan (Morgan Cavanough).
As per reports, they talked about the reboot of the series that the producers of ‘Riverdale’ have planned to do. A spin-off that would take the title of ‘The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ and which would have a much darker side than the original fiction. Moreover, we might not see any of the protagonists of the original series.
Hart and the other casts did not hesitate to share the emotional reunion in her Instagram account.
Though the original cast is not at all part of the new show, Hart said during the panel: “The rights reverted back to [Archie Comics], and they’re doing The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, which is a darker sort of twist,” the actress, 41, said.
“I think our show was about magic and family, and I think the new one — it sounds like, I have no idea — but the new one is going to be more about witchcraft, dark stuff. I think it sounds more Buffy the Vampire Slayer than it does Sabrina, so I think it will appeal to a different kind of audience and be a totally different show.”
