Actress-turned-beauty queen Winwyn Marquez, the Philippines bet for the 2017 Reina Hispanoamericana Pageant, was featured in a Bolivian newspaper.
According to a Facebook post of The Philippine Pageantry, Winwyn was featured on the cover Society Section of El Deber, a newspaper published in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, the venue of the pageant. The newspaper called her “La reina de Asia.”
The caption on the full-page photo of Winwyn reads: “Miss Filipinas Teresita ‘Winwyn’ Marquez Moreno es la primera representante del pais asiatico en el Reina Hispanoamericana, que se realizará en Santa Cruz. El concurso se inicia el 23 de octubre y la final será el 4 de noviembre.”

On her Instagam account, Winwyn shared the newspaper photo and said she was honored to be the first Filipina and the only Asian to compete in the prestigious beauty contest.
