When you walk across a street, you will see it everywhere.

You will see it in different shades of colors; yellow, blue, pink or red. Nail polish is a ‘must have’ these days for almost every women. But do you know that you will never see the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, wear a nail polish in public? You would ask why?

As per royal dress code, only natural-looking nails are allowed to be worn at official royal events because colored nail polish do not meet royal standards, and are considered “vulgar”.

This is also true to Queen Elizabeth II, who signed the royal decree, who for more than 30 years only wears one nail polish color. Kate wore a similar, light pink shade on her wedding day, mixing Bourjois Rose Lounge and Essie Allure to create an original hue.

After all, it’s no secret that the British royal family has plenty of strict traditions and rules. In addition to the nails, Kate can not dress her son with shorts, cannot sign autographs or cannot show affection in public.
