ILOILO — At least 14 students and three employees of Pavia National High School were rushed to the hospital on Wednesday after a fire destroyed the school’s stock room.
Based on initial reports, the 14 students who suffered difficulty in breathing and fell unconscious were given medical treatment.
A pregnant teacher and two school canteen staff were also brought to a hospital to monitor their health condition.
Classes were immediately suspended.
The fire was declared under control and eventually “fire out.” Bureau of Fire officials are investigating the incident.
