6 motorcycle thieves arrested in Pangasinan

  • Six motorcycle thieves nabbed in Pangasinan
  • Two of the suspects are minors
  • A victim sought the help of police after seeing his stolen motorcycle being peddled online

Six persons, including minors, involved in stealing motorcycles were apprehended by authorities in Dagupan City  in Pangasinan.

In a a press conference, Police Senior Supt. Franklin Ortiz, chief of PNP Dagupan, identified four of the suspects as Gilbert Lazo, 17; Mark Anthony Frianes, 20; Terence Ubando, 19; Bobby Christopher Calimlim, 16, all residents of Bonuan Boquig in Dapitan City.

The names of the other two suspects were withheld pending verification of their identities.

According to Bombo Radyo, the first suspect to fall was Lazo. He later identified his 5 cohorts.

The suspects were apprehended after a relative of one of their victims saw the stolen motorcycle being peddled on a social media site. The victim immediately sought the help of authorities.

The police recovered 7 motorcycles, two of which were converted into tricycles, from the 6 motorcycle thieves.

Multiple criminal charges are already being prepared for filing in court against the suspects.
