All’s well that ends well, especially with ABS-CBN executives and Derek Ramsay.
The actor is now back as a Kapamilya star.
In an official statement by ABS-CBN, it stated that they have already resolved the issues that revolved around the transfer of Ramsay to another network.
Ramsay also confirmed that he and the management of ABS-CBN have ironed things out. He told Pep, “This meeting was long overdue. It was something I’ve been wanting to do for the longest time.”
“Everything was a big misunderstanding and this meeting cleared everything up. I have always had great respect for ABS and I’ve always said that they are one of the major reasons I am where I am today,” he continued.
Back in 2015, Ramsay told ABS-CBN that he was “disappointed” with the network because he wanted to do some projects that they wouldn’t offer him.
In his previous movie, The Trophy Wife, Ramsay was very vocal about the “ban” that ABS-CBN put on him. He was told not to be mentioned or be allowed to promote on the said network. He was quoted by the Business World Online, “ I thought ABS-CBN understood my decision to transfer to TV5. I cannot understand why they [ABS-CBN officials] are doing this to me.”
Now, Derek is set to do a movie “Kasal” with Bea Alonzo and Paulo Avelino.
