If you’re a 90s kid then this news will give you the ultimate throwback feels!
Tamagotchi, the cult favorite virtual game released in 1997, will soon be available via mobile phone apps.
In a video uploaded on Youtube, Bandai Namco teased the release of My Tamagotchi Forever in 2018.
“Raise your very own Tamagotchi characters, and share your adventures with your friends! Your Tamagotchi character needs your daily care to stay healthy and happy. Keep it well fed, washed, and entertained, then meet other Tamagotchi friends in town for more fun. But don’t forget to put your character to bed!” said the description of the one-minute video uploaded last November 23.
Nintendo Life said the app will be available in iOS and Android systems. It will include several interesting features such as the Tamatown where all the Tamagotchi characters will live and where your pet can interact with other Tamagotchi pets.
My Tamagotchi Forever is the most recent effort of Bandai to commemorate the 20th anniversary since the launching of the toy that has taken the world by storm more than two decades ago.
Last October, it was also announced that the original toy will again sell an updated version that small but with the same features.
The game, which will remain to be in a pixel format, was announced to be available in the United States starting November 5.
Bandai also released the original version of the Tamagotchi last April to celebrate its 20th anniversary.
