Last week in Pasay, three OFWs were victimized by a salisi modus wherein their P80,000 cash, cell phones, documents and other personal belongings were taken by a female suspect. On Sunday, the police have recovered documents like passports and IDs of the victims. However, the cash and other important belongings are still missing.

Authorities said the documents were found by a vendor at Mega Q-Mart, Cubao, Quezon City.

The police are still looking for the suspect, with alias Gabriel Rut, whom the victims met at the airport the day they arrived from Middle East.

“Gabriel Rut” posed as a fellow OFW and convinced the victims to share a hotel room with her while waiting for a flight to General Santos City the next day.

According to an article by GMA News, before the suspect and the victims went to a mall to dine, the suspect convinced them to leave their cellphones and cash at the room; warning them of snatchers.

But when they were at the mall, the suspect left the three saying she will just withdraw money from an ATM, but did not return. It was too late when they realized that their items were looted.

The Pasay City police provided this number to the public for tips or possible leads to the whereabouts of the suspect: (02) 831-8070.
