A dog who was named by veterinarians as Nube Viajera which means “travelling cloud” died allegedly due to heartbreak.
Its owners left the poor dog at the Bucaramanga airport in Colombia. For a month, the dog had been searching for its owner. Locals would offer food to the dog but sometimes, it would refuse to eat.
The dog got sick and became malnourished until it eventually died.
The vets who looked on the dog said that it was probably heartbroken and labelled its cause of death as “depression.”
Alejandro Sotomonte Nino, the vet who took care of the poor dog until its dying day told Daily Mail, “The hypothesis we have is that a traveler abandoned it. Apparently, during the first month that the dog was at the airport, it was going through the halls looking for someone, possibly the owner. That state of waiting deteriorated its health, to the point that she no longer received food.”
Truly, such a sad story with a tragic ending. Dogs are said to be man’s best friend, but sometimes some people are not dogs’ best pals.
