It’s the Halloween season! And this is also the season for the most supernatural and horrifying stories.

Showbiz personalities wouldn’t miss out on the chance to share theirs; just like 2016 Miss Universe Philippines Maxine Medina who shared her horrifying experience she had in their ancestral house at D. Tuazon in Quezon City, which used to be a cemetery.

As per ABS CBN News, Maxine shared: “Nakaupo ‘yung mommy ko sa sofa. Nakita niya ‘yung yaya niya paakyat. ‘Di ba usually kapag ganun, ma-feel mo talaga na [humahakbang paakyat]. Siya straight, diretso.”

[My mom was sitting on the sofa. She saw her nanny going upstairs. Usually, when it’s like that, you will feel the footsteps going up right? However, the nanny went straight.]

“Tapos dahan-dahan daw tumingin siya sa mommy ko na ibang iba ang face. Sa sobrang takot ng mommy ko, nagsumbong siya sa mommy niya,” Maxine added.

[And then, she slowly stared at my mom, with different faces. In so much fear, she told her mommy.]

The beauty queen also mentioned that horror stories have since become a natural phenomenon in their family because of the supernatural occurrences in their house.

“Yung lola ko naman din kasi, mahilig sa ganyan. Since ang birthday naman niya is November 1 kaya natutuwa siya kapag may mga ganung story. Hindi ko maintindihan. Ganun din ang kinalalakihan namin pero kapag natatakot na kami, nagiging bonding na rin namin,” the beauty queen disclosed.

[My grandma is so fond of that. Since her birthday falls on November 1, she finds it entertaining whenever she hears stories like that. I don’t understand. We also grew up to that but when we are starting to get scared, it becomes our bonding moment.]

Although she’s afraid of all her horrifying stories, Maxine shared she just offers prayers whenever she has supernatural encounters.
