Actor Piolo Pascual, who rejoined actress Toni Gonzaga in the weekend sitcom Home Sweetie Home, shared how he agreed to be part of the show.
In an article written by James Patrick Anarcon and Jocelyn Dimaulangan of PEP, it was disclosed that Pascual immediately agreed to join the sitcom because of Gonzaga and the ABS-CBN Network.
“When they asked me to [re-enter the show], like hosting, pinch-hit for him. Sabi ko, of course, that’s Toni. That’s my family. That’s ABS-CBN. Whatever I can do. Kung tumagal ako sa show, it’s because kailangan ng show,” he shared.
The actor-singer started appearing in the ABS-CBN comedy show last October 28. He was introduced as John Lloyd Cruz character’s cousin.
Pascual reappeared on the show when Cruz took an indefinite leave from showbiz following the controversies he faced in the past. Cruz, Gonzaga’s husband in the show, have not appeared in the sitcom since the announcement of his indefinite leave last October.
Pascual, on the other hand, stressed that he is not Cruz’s replacement in the show that has been on air since January 2014.
