Senator Vicente “Tito” Sotto lodged a cyber-libel complaint on Tuesday versus Eduardo Angelo Dayao “Cocoy” Dayao; an alleged administrator of the “Silent No More PH” blog.
The complaint which was filed at the Pasay Prosecutor’s Office cited a September 26 article by Silent No More PH, which claimed that 7 majority senators, including Senate majority floor leader Sotto, had refused to sign a Senate resolution condemning the extra judicial killings under President Duterte’s drug war.
Sotto challenged the article as “fake”, and said the resolution did not even reach their offices.
Meanwhile, Rey Joseph Nieto of “Thinking Pinoy” said Dayao is the administrator of Silent No More.
Sotto said that the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has confirmed that Dayao is indeed behind the Silent No More PH blog.
Dayao did not appear during the hearing despite being invited by the Senate.
Earlier, Sotto said that even a public apology would not be enough to console him.
