Taiwanese food company to directly hire 200 Filipinos in Davao job fair

One of the biggest food manufacturing companies in Taiwan have launched a 4-day job fair in Davao City which began on Thursday, November 23, ABS-CBN News said.

I-MEI Foods Co., Ltd. which specializes in manufacturing, distributing, exporting, and importing food products is hiring around 200 Filipinos.

Being an established major Taiwanese company for 70 years, it has already employed 500 Filipinos and is hoping to directly hire more.

The Manila Economic and Cultural Office said, as disclosed in a story shared by ABS-CBN News, that those who have applied and have secured jobs during the fair would be spared of processing fees charged by placement agencies and Taiwanese brokers.

Retired Ambassador Jack Cheng led the company’s officials, and were welcomed by Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.

It is said that more than 135,000 Filipinos are currently working in Taiwan.

Meanwhile, on November 7, PESO Davao City posted on its Facebook page the food manufacturing firm’s job offers which include:
