- Toni Gonzaga will be the new host of Pilipinas Got Talent
- She replaces Luis Manzano after he ‘opted out’ of the show
- Luis has long co-hosted the show with Billy Crawford
Toni Gonzaga will be hosting the next edition of Kapamilya reality show “Pilipinas Got Talent” (PGT).
This information was made public after Luis Manzano, who originally co-hosts the show with Billy Crawford, said he “opted out” of the gig.
“Something new for everyone 🙂 I opted out for the betterment of the show,” he said in a Twitter post on November 24.
Responding to reactions from people online, he also said: “Ibang flavor dala ni Toni! 🙂 Siyempre, Toni ‘yan eh.” [Toni brings another flavor! Of course, that’s Toni.]
Would his exit be due to the tension with judge Angel Locsin? Locsin will be coming back as judge for this season. She and Luis used to be in a long-time relationship but they split up last year.
Luis is now in a relationship with Jessy Mendiola.
According to an article by ABS-CBN, PGT’s sixth season have already started its auditions. All of its judges will be returning. These include Vice Ganda, Robin Padilla and Freddie Garcia.
