After the Miss U announcement that some queens are coming over to visit the Philippines, pageant fans have been so excited and anxious to know where they could see a glimpse of their admired queens in person, especially Miss South Africa, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters who won this year’s Miss Universe title.
After just a week, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters said she’s already feeling at home in New York but she’s also looking forward to traveling around the world, including her first stop– the Philippines!
The 2017 Miss Universe set foot in the beautiful Philippines on December 5 and flaunted the colorful flower lei she was given. Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere and her successor even unexpectedly bumped into each other at the airport.
As per an Inquirer story, Demi-Leigh will tour the Philippines for four days, together with 14 other gorgeous beauty queens, including Rachel Peters. Unfortunately though, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach won’t be joining them.
As for the itinerary, the Department of Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo stated that the beauty queens will first go to Luneta Park and Intramuros on Wednesday. They will then be divided into three groups to travel to the picturesque tourist spots in Batanes, Camiguin, and Bohol.
Demi-Leigh will be leading the Batanes group while Iris will be in Bohol, and Rachel in Camiguin.
