This is just one of those flash news that you wish is fake.
The lead singer of one of K-pop’s top boy bands SHINee, Kim Jong-hyun, died on Monday after being taken to hospital unconscious.
Several news outlets including the Yonhap news agency and Reuters said he was found unconscious in a Seoul apartment.
The singer had checked into a serviced residence on December 18 and was found unconscious hours later by police who immediately went to the apartment after receiving an emergency call from his sister.
Jong-hyun had, as per a Metro Co Uk story, sent his sister a text message earlier which had her worried: “It’s been too hard. Please send me off. Tell everyone I’ve had a hard time. This is my last goodbye.”
An update from ABS CBN also said Kim was found with a burning coal briquette nearby and that it is suspected that he may have taken his own life.
Meanwhile, SM Entertainment have confirmed his demise.
