Authorities have confirmed that they are verifying information that leftist groups like Bayan, Akbayan and Bayan Muna are aiding CPP-NPA.
On December 5, President Duterte signed a proclamation declaring the Communist Party of the Philippines – New People’s Army (CPP-NPA) as a terrorist group. This also marks the end of any peace negotiations or talks with the group.
Military spokesman Col. Edgard Arevalo already gave a stern warning that terrorist group sympathizers will be apprehended, including leftist groups proven to be aiding them.
[We have received information on the aid they (leftist groups) are giving. Any group found to be colluding or supporting any terrorist group may face charges.]
Arevalo even added that citizens can enforce warrants of arrest issues against communists and their sympathizers.
