A Florida man was arrested by the police for violently attacking an ATM that gave him too much money.
According to Florida Today, 23-year-old Michael Joseph Oleksik is now facing a criminal mischief charge after his Nov. 29 brawl with the Wells Fargo bank branch in Cocoa.
Oleksik allegedly caused $5,000 in damages during the Nov. 29 incident, which was captured on surveillance video, authorities said.
The police said that the young man was angry because the ATM was giving him too much money and he did not know what to do. However, after his violent action he apologized for having broken the machine.
Even with the young man’s apology, the Wells Fargo bank decided to file charges against Oleksik, who was arrested on Thursday and sent to the Brevard County Jail from which he was released shortly after posting bail that was not disclosed.
