The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has lifted the number coding scheme on December 25 and 26, 2017 and January 1, in view of the holidays.
Their recent traffic advisory was posted on Sunday, December 24, on its official Facebook account.
As per a news story shared by Inquirer, the agency added that the number coding was also lifted in Makati and Las Piñas.
Moreover, on Thursday, December 21, MMDA also announced the lifting of the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) or Number Coding for PROVINCIAL BUSES ONLY on December 22 (Friday) and December 26 (Tuesday) to assist more passengers during the holiday exodus. It aims to supply additional buses needed to transport passengers going home to the provinces for their Christmas break.
MMDA also took to Twitter its Christmas greeting; announcing the agency is also off for the holidays.
