For many, the night before Christmas day is usually spent with their family and loved ones. However, for Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, it is a time to closely monitor the peace and security in the country.

Together with some of his PNP officials, PNP Chief Bato roamed around some public places in Manila.

A photo tweeted by media personality James Agustin of Super Radyo dzBB showed PNP Chief Bato with PNP NCRPO Director Albayalde and some reporters.

The photo was taken at the MRT-3 Taft Station in Pasay City. The two high-ranking PNP officers conducted inspection at the public place.

PNP Chief Bato and PNP Gen. Albayalde were also seen around Makati, Manila, EDSA Rotonda and Rizal Park in Luneta. The two officials inspected some police stations, checkpoints and visited some policemen on duty.

Other units of PNP were also seen actively guarding some of the most crowded places in Manila. The SWAT Police for instance, guarded the Quiapo Church during the Misa De Gallo on December 24 at 10 p.m.

PNP Chief Bato is firm on his instruction that all police officers should be fulfilling their duties this Christmas and New Year’s Eve in order to minimize any problems or threats with regard to the country’s peace and order.

He required policemen to report from 5:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. of December 24 to 25, 2017 and December 31 to January 1, 2018.
