- A family of alleged drug pushers was arrested in Negros Occidental
- Two others were also arrested in the same buy-bust operation on Friday
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 6 staged a buy-bust operation Friday night on a suspected family of drug pushers along with two others in Silay City, Negros Occidental.
Arrested was Lauro Arevalo, his wife Doris and their son Mark. One of their children, a minor, who was also involved in the drug trade is now under the custody of Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
The main subject of the operation was Lauro, who was on the drug watchlist, according to the authorities.
Aside from the Arevalo Family, also arrested were Mark Saguid and Lowen Mondragon who happened to be at the Arevalo’s residence during the operation.
16 sachets of suspected shabu worth P125,000 and drug paraphernalia were recovered from the Arevalos.
The suspects are facing charges for violating Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
