JM de Guzman is officially back in ABS-CBN. After two years of being away from the camera, JM announced that he will now star in his first TV role. The That Thing Called Tadhana star looked excited as he posted a photo of him with director and producers on Instagram.

The Kapamilya actor will star in a new “Precious Hearts Romances” series titled “Araw Gabi.”  The date is yet to be revealed but the director is Theodore Boborol, who’s responsible for teen romcoms such as Just the Way You Are and Vince & Kath & James.

JM has revealed in a “tell-all” interview that he was admitted in a rehabilitation center due to substance abuse. He confessed that he had been using illegal drugs since he was 18 years old. At first he thought that it was helping him become a good actor until he realized it was dragging him down. He checked into a rehabilitation facility but once he got out, he experienced a relapse. JM’s last teleserye, “All of Me”, was cut short after he decided to seek help and went back to rehab. Two years after, JM shared that he is now “substance-free.”
