Fans of Adventure/Fantasy film with charming characters would definitely love both the old Jumanji (1995) and the new Jumanji (2017).

Jumanji is about a magical game where the player becomes part of the game and would not be able to leave the game without finishing it.

According to Forbes, the $90-Million-budgeted new Jumanji film was released on December 20, 2017. Now, it is a world-wide hit with more than $500-Million earnings.

The new film is set inside a video game wherein the four players have to survive many obstacles in the jungle. Originally, the Jumanji film is about a magical board game found by a boy named “Alan Parrish” (Robin Williams) who got stuck in the game for several years until siblings Peter (Bradley Pierce) and Judy Shepherd ( Kirsten Dunst) played and finished the game and finally saved him from the jungle-themed game world.

The latest Jumanji film cast include fantasy/adventure favorite star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson who also starred in films as “The Mummy Returns (2001)”, “The Scorpion King (2002)”, and another adventure film with a similar setting “ Journey 2: The Mysterious Island (2012)”. Together with “The Rock”, comedians Kevin Hart and Jack Black played the roles that definitely tickled viewers’ funny bone.

The new film is a continuation of the original story of Jumanji which highlighted what happened when the board game was found on the beach, which was actually the last scene on the original one. The new story line revolved on four young students who got transported inside the jungle-themed game into the bodies of their avatars when they found it in detention.
