- Joyce Bernal teases possible onscreen kiss between Sarah Geronimo and James Reid in a movie
- Nadine Lustre, James’ partner, said it’s alright
- Nadine said she’s very excited about James’ projects
Actress Nadine Lustre said via an ABS-CBN News story that she wouldn’t mind if her boyfriend James Reid would have a kissing scene with Sarah Geronimo in the film “Miss Granny.”
Her statement came after director Joyce Bernal hinted a possible kissing scene between the two lead actors in the film.
“Bakit ako [‘yung magre-react]? [laughs]. Okay na ‘yun. If it’s for work, okay lang naman. And si Ate Sarah naman so walang ibig sabihin so I’m okay with that.”
[Why should I react? It’s alright. It’s for work and it’s Ate Sarah so it does not mean anything.]
“Ako po very excited ako sa mga projects niya and siya din excited para sa akin. We grow together pero at the same time, nag-grow din kami kahit hindi kami magkasama,”
[I’m excited about his projects and he’s excited about my projects too. We grow together, at the same time, we grow individually.]
The film is the first time that James and Nadine aren’t working together in a project.
Miss Granny is an adaptation of a hit South Korean movie. It narrates the story of a woman in her 70s who found herself in the body of her 20-year-old self.
It was in October last year when James and Sarah were announced to do the project.
Last July, Sarah led the Star Cinema movie “Finally Found Someone” with actor Lloyd Cruz.
“This Time” was James’ last movie with Nadine in 2016
