At least nine drug pushers were arrested in drug buy-bust operations in Lucena City, Tayabas City and Gumaca town, all in Quezon province, on Wednesday and Thursday.
Quezon Police Director Senior Supt. Rhoderick Armamento said an estimated 10 grams of crystal meth (“shabu”) worth more than P70,000 in the street market were confiscated in the operations.
Lucena City’s police station chief Supt. Vicente Cabatingan organized simultaneous buy-bust operations in a coastal village in Dalahican around 12:30 a.m. Thursday.
The anti-illegal drug authorities arrested Cindy Bensing, Joel Betito, Jerry Arangusti, Ariel Mandawe, and Reynante Amantillo.
In another operation at Barangay Ibabang Dupay, local cops also arrested Julie Gutlay and her sister-in-law Ma. Carmela Gutlay.
The Police also arrested two alleged drug pushers from Tayabas City and Gumaca town.
