Liza Soberano revealed that sometimes being beautiful can be a struggle. The Bagani star sat down and got candid on Tonight with Boy Abunda.

Liza shared that some people just look at her and only see a “pretty face.” She said, “People always say I’m just a beautiful face.” It was because of this perception that the Kapamilya actress became motivated to dream big in life.

Liza said, “So immediately I knew what I wanted. I wanted to be recognized for more than that.”

She adds that she want so be known for more than being pretty, “Maybe it could be my talent, maybe it could be my heart, but what I want in life is to make a name for myself and to represent what I’m really about.”

The actress adds that she always works extra hard to break that perception. She said, “Through that, I have to work hard, like in my teleserye and my movies. I have to work hard to show people that I’m more than just what they see physically, that I am talented and that I care.”

Liza adds, “I have empathy for people because eventually the beauty will go away. I will age. I won’t look the same as I do now.”

Last year, Liza Soberano was named as the most beautiful face by a British movie critic. She topped TC Candler’s 2017 “The 100 Most Beautiful Faces” list.
