A man in China discovered that he was in the background of his wife’s old holiday photo that was taken in year 2000 or 11 years before they met and fell in love with each other.

As per the Sichuan News, the couple from Chengdu, Sichuan in China was dumbfounded after discovering that their paths crossed more than a decade before they met.

Mr. Ye, together with his wife and daughter went to the house of his mother-in-law to visit her on Sunday, March 4. He said he was tidying up the study room at the house of his mother-in-law when he saw the old photo of his wife.

“I was looking at the picture where my wife was sitting in front of the May Fourth Square, there’s also a man standing at far back. My reaction was: ‘Oh wait, that was me!”‘ exclaimed Mr Ye.

When his family went back home, Mr. Ye searched for his old photo with him standing in front of May Fourth Square taken on July 28, 2000 when he was only 17 years old. When he compared it to his wife’s old picture, they confirmed that it was him “photobombing” his wife’s picture.

The couple visited the May Fourth Square again and had their photos taken after their wedding in 2012.

Their friends were amazed when they showed them the photos. They believed they were really destined for each other.

Mr. Ye said they would safely keep the old pictures to cherish the unforgettable memories they bring.
