The authorities arrested eight alleged street-level users/pushers in anti-illegal drug operations in Quezon province during the weekend.
Quezon Police Director Senior Supt. Rhoderick Armamento said they arrested Honeylet Villalon, 26, and her companion Marilyn Martinez, 30, in an anti-illegal drug operation in Lucban town.
Meanwhile, Candelaria police also arrested Jefferson De la Cruz, 33; Jomar Calderero, 24; Bernie Closa, 38; Mario Macaraig, 39, and Cesar Capanggada, 37, in separate buy-bust operations.
The suspects were caught possessing shabu with a combined estimated street price of P15,900.
In Mauban town, the police also arrested a 17-year old male.
When the police reportedly pacified a quarrel between street gangs composed of “children in conflict with the law,” they found out that one of the boys was possessing a 100-peso worth shabu.
