Singer-songwriter Yeng Constantino has named new album after her illness.

In an article written by Reyma Buan-Deveza of ABS-CBN News, it said Constantino revealed that she is suffering from synesthesia.

“Natuklasan ko na sa three years na hindi ako naglabas ng album na mayroon pala akong synesthesia, which is ‘yung brain conditioning senses ng isang tao ay nagmi-mix,” she shared.

[Within three years of not releasing an album, I found out that I have synesthesia, in which the brain conditioning senses of a person are getting mixed.]

According to Synesthesia.com, synesthesia is perceiving the world with blended senses.

“Music can be colored, letters and figures can be associated with genders and personality, and forms can have tastes. There are many different types of synesthesias; every sense can theoretically be coupled with any other sense. Synesthesia is not the product of imagination or hallucination,” it was explained.

“It is the result of enhanced neuronal connections,” it added.

Constantino said it was her husband who discovered her condition while they were eating.
