The Department of Education (DepEd) is reminding students and parents that Senior High School Voucher Program (SHS VP) application will end on April 27.
“The Department of Education, in coordination with the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC), is reminding the public on the April 27 deadline of the Senior High School Voucher Program application, which has been re-opened last April 2,” the DepEd said in a statement.
The SHS VP is an initiative of the government to make basic education accessible and affordable for Filipino learners nationwide.
“All applications this April must be accomplished online by accessing the PEAC’s Online Voucher Application Program at http://ovap.deped.gov.ph,” the agency noted.
“Applicants are advised to refer to DepEd Order No. 60, s. 2017, or “Guidelines on the Application for the Senior High School Voucher Program for School Year 2018-2019,” it added.
Earlier, upon the recommendation of Undersecretary for Planning and Field Operations Jesus Mateo and Undersecretary for Finance-Disbursements and Accounting Victoria Catibog, the reopening of the application was implemented; aiming to accommodate a greater number of Grade 10 completers for School Year 2018-2019, and to provide them with the option to enroll in private schools, state universities and colleges, and local universities and colleges including technical and vocational schools offering the SHS Program.
