MANILA, Philippines  –  President Rodrigo Duterte isn’t finished yet; this after he revealed another government official is on the way out.

Duterte made the announcement just days after Tourism chief Wanda Teo left the Cabinet after being implicated in the P60-M advertisement contract involving the media outfit owned by her brother.

“There’s another one coming up. I think… you know, if you go to other places to attend important meetings that may affect the country, I would appreciate it,” said Duterte on Wednesday at the presentation of bank notes and coins in Malacañang.

The President did not reveal the name of the official in question, but gave hints on why he wanted him or her out of the government.

“Pero kung climate change dito sa Brussels, then climate change sa Tokyo, climate change dito sa Indonesia, climate change sa Africa nandun ka. Tapos [expletives] ‘yan ang bagyo…dito yung isa, palabas ‘yung isa, and there’s blood and everything. You’ve spent millions for that and I’ve not seen any improvement,” Duterte said.

[But because of climate change in Brussels, climate change in Tokyo, climate change in Indonesia, climate in Africa and you’re present in all of them. Then here comes the typhoon, one coming in, another going out and there’s blood and everything.]

The President has fired several officials over the past months; with many of them due to alleged excessive junkets and corruption.

These include former Presidential Commission for the Urban Poor (PCUP) chairman Terry Ridon Peter, former National Irrigation Administration (NIA) chief Tiu Laviña, former DDB chairman Dionisio Santiago and former Maritime Industry Authority (Marina) administrator Marcial Amaro III, among others.
