Filipino contestant and partner win grand prize in Belgium’s Got Talent

A Filipino-Belgian contestant and his partner were hailed as grand champion in Belgium’s Got Talent 2018.

Ian Lodens and partner Natascha Van Es impressed the viewers and judges with their acrobatic dance performance. The dancing duo got the highest text votes and won Belgium’s biggest talent search.

Ian, who is a three-time Jujitsu World Champion earlier shared with ABS-CBN that he used his knowledge in martial arts and everyday training to keep him fit and in right form.

Ian, whose Filipina mother, Rebecca, hails from Quezon City earlier asked for support from her ‘kababayans’ to help vote. On her Facebook account, she took the time to thank everyone who supported Ian and Tasha.

Ian also earlier shared with Bombo Radyo that he plans to use his prize money to travel to the Philippines and meet his ‘Lolo and Lola.’ The topnotch dancer admitted that he has yet to visit his mother’s country since he was born.

On Belgium’s Got Talent’s Facebook page, they described Ian and Tasha’s performance as “just hit all the hearts.” The dancing duo performed on Tom Walker’s hit song, “Leave a Light On.”

From the 12 finalists, five were chosen by the viewers to proceed to the grand finals.
