- “Flying veil” is now a trend in China
- It started when a Shanghai-based wedding planner featured one in his video online last May 12
- It costs about 1,000 yuan (Php8,215.51)
Everybody wants to make their wedding day extra especial that makes some even follow today’s trends. Just like the new wedding craze in China. But this time, the bride’s veil will do the drama.
According to Asia One, the trend began when a Shanghai-based wedding planner featured one in his video online last May 12. It instantly became a hit and many copied the magical trick since then.
The concept is taking only a system of rails, some pulleys and cutters to send the fine cloth flying in the air. The twine tied at the corners of the veil is unseen by the guests. It should be cut off the moment it’s above the bride and lets it fall on her head.

So, how much will it cost?
Amy Li, a Beijing wedding planner with Zhiai Qingcheng Wedding Ceremony, shared that it isn’t so expensive.
“It is usually included in our wedding ceremony package and does not cost extra, but if someone wants that part only, the cost is probably about 1,000 yuan (Php8,215.51) ,” she said.
