Old photos of ‘People’s Princess’ Diana bring nostalgia; make fans emotional

A few days since the royal wedding of Prince Harry and actress Meghan Markle, a lot of fans and supporters of the late Princess Diana are still posting and sharing old photos of the so-called “People’s Princess”.

One of the Facebook pages and accounts that has been sharing pictures and memories of the Princess of Wales is Diana, Princess of Wales 1961-1997, which has been bringing nostalgia and making fans of Lady Di emotional.

The recent posts of the page include young Diana while playing the piano; making people remember how talented she was.

A photo of her during an outing was also uploaded.

“September 5, 1981. Princess Diana at the Highland games at Braemar. The first public outing since their wedding,” read the caption.

“Dear beautiful and awesome Princess Diana, everytime I see a photo of you, I so wish I could hold you and hug you as I do my children and grandchildren,” wrote Facebook user KK.

“She is alive in our hearts,” expressed MS.

A photo of the Princess of Wales and Prince Charles also made many people emotional.

“So sad. Looking back. The boys have been through a lot of pain. They have done their parents proud,” EH wrote.

“Beautiful Diana. Sad the way things have worked out,” AB expressed.

“Absolutely beautiful picture! I wish their happiness lasted forever,” CF commented.

“If only it was a fairy tale wedding!” KB said.

In 1981, 22-year-old Diana married Charles at the St Paul’s Cathedral.

Sadly, in 1995, the two got divorced.

On the other hand, despite being legally separated with Charles and despite being in heaven for more than two decades now, a lot of people continue to love, respect, and honor the memory of the People’s Princess.
