Pinoy photographer Rommel Lugada wins bronze in Moscow Int’l Foto Awards

  • A Filipino photographer received the bronze prize in the Portfolio-Fine Art category in the 2018 iteration of the Moscow International Foto Awards (MIFA)
  • Former industrial designer Rommel Lugada won for his portfolio composed of 10 black & white  and 10 colored photographs from his travels around the Philippines
  • Lugada’s other recognitions include those from the International Photography Awards in the Philippines and US, and Tokyo International Foto Awards in 2017

A Filipino photographer’s talent was recognized when he received the bronze prize in the recently concluded Portfolio-Fine Art category in the 2018 iteration of the Moscow International Foto Awards (MIFA).

Rommel Lugada, an Industrial Designer/Photographer won for his portfolio composed of 10 black & white  and 10 colored photographs from his adventures around the Philippines.

MIFA said of Lugada’s photographs on its website: “All composed with natural lighting and mostly chasing with sunlight while exploring other images with shapes, forms, textures, rhythm, patterns, point of view, framing and simplicity in composition.”

Lugada’s other recognitions in the past include those from the International Photography Awards in the Philippines and US, and Tokyo International Foto Awards in 2017.

MIFA winners will have their works showcased in the Best of Show exhibition in Moscow, the main page of their website, and others.
