PRO ARMM Conducts First SWAT Training

About sixty-six (66) members of the police force of Police Regional Office of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PRO ARMM) completed their rigorous training on Special Weapon and Tactics (SWAT) at the Regional Special Training Unit of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

This is the very first SWAT training conducted in PRO ARMM.

The new SWAT cops underwent 45 days of training on marksmanship, explosives and ordinance handling, tactics and close quarter battles (CQBs), hostage negotiation and counter terrorism, especially in urban areas where SWAT units primarily operates.

During the ceremony, the new SWAT team went through an exercise course to exhibit their capabilities.

Present during the graduation rites were the command group headed by Police Chief Superintendent Graciano J Mijares, Regional Director, PRO ARMM.
