- A New York City restaurant has introduced the world’s first gold-plated chicken wings
- The food is created by The Ainsworth restaurant in collaboration with reality TV star Jonathan Cheban
- It is called the FOODGOD 24K Gold Buffalo Wings
Have you ever imagined rewarding yourself with a couple of gold-plated chicken wings after a long day of work? It’s possible now — but only if you’re in New York City.
“The Ainsworth in NYC serves a stack of 50 gold-dusted chicken wings for $1,000,” read the caption posted by FOOD INSIDER on YouTube.
The world’s first gold-plated chicken wings “FOODGOD 24K Gold Buffalo Wings” — created by The Ainsworth restaurant in collaboration with reality TV star Jonathan Cheban — are being soaked in a coconut butter, chipotle, and honey batter for 24 hours. Then, these are deep fried and tossed into a metallic gold sauce; giving each food a shiny, gold-plated look.
The chicken wings are also sprinkled with edible gold dust.
