The Pinay who introduced herself as “Bea Kim” stressed that “there was no malice in the President’s kiss” in front of other Filipinos who came at a gathering in South Korea on Sunday.

In a video shared on Facebook by the Philippine News Agency, Bea Kim said that she has been living in South Korea for seven years and she has a Korean husband and two children.

“Yung kiss, twist lang yun. Pampakilig sa mga audience. Walang ibig sabihin yun, promise. Walang ibig sabihin – sa akin, sa kanya, walang ibig sabihin,” said Bea, who also shared how she was chosen to come to the stage and meet the President. [The kiss was just a twist. Just for fun for the audience. It has no other meaning, promise. No other meaning for me, for him, it’s nothing.]

After the quick kiss, Duterte said that people should not take it seriously  because he only wanted to entertain the audience.

Bea recalled how she felt before coming to the stage, she said: “Parang na-block ako… hindi ko maexplain yung parang kinakabahan ako, natatakot ako, excited, thankful… happy ako kasi parang it’s a once in a lifetime experience kasi yun di ba… parang suntok sa buwan na makita mo nang malapitan yung presidente.”

[It’s like I had a mental block, I can’t explain, it’s like I’m nervous, scared, excited, thankful… I’m happy because it’s a once in a lifetime experience and what are the chances for someone to meet the President up close, right?]
