The Bureau of Customs (BOC) seized misdeclared products amounting to P6.3-million in Cagayan de Oro, GMA News TV Live bulletin broadcasted Saturday.
The misdeclared products contain refined sugar, clothing, and shoes — shipped in nine containers.
The products reportedly came from Korea and Thailand. The refined white sugar were reportedly from Korea, while the second-hand clothing and shoes came from Thailand.
The sugar would be auctioned off.
The clothing and shoes will be destroyed.
The Customs officers will be questioning the shipment’s consignee regarding the misdeclared products.
According to Section 1400 of Republic Act 10863, misdeclared, misclassified, and undervaluation in declaring goods would be subject to seizure.
