Mark Zuckerberg, 34, thanks to his social media giant Facebook, becomes the world’s third-richest person after accumulating more than $81.6-billion net worth according to a Bloomberg story — overtaking the world’s favorite Warren Buffet.
His net worth and rank in the list brings history; being, the present top three wealthiest people in the world got their fortunes from technology.
As per Fortune website, the present richest man is Amazon’s Jeff Bezos with $142-billion; followed by Microsoft’s Bill Gates’ $93.2-billion.
The Bloomberg index disclosed technology fortunes accounts for about a fifth of the $5-trillion in wealth tracked. The ranking follows the world’s 500 wealthiest people.
Buffet, once the world’s richest, is sliding in the ranking due to charitable giving. He has already shared about $290-million Berkshire Hathaway Class B shares to charities which could amount to more than $50-billion at present.
He was reported $373-million behind Zuckerberg.
The FB founder, on the other hand, has pledged to give away 99-percent of his share on the social media in his lifetime.
