Manny Pacquiao made the city of smiles grin even further. He distributed around P1.5M in cash to hundreds of people in Bacolod.
Manny, who owns Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL), and his wife Jinkee were in Bacolod from Iloilo last September 21 to watch the first homecourt game of Bacolod Master Sardines and join the ceremonial toss at the St. Lassale Coliseum. While having dinner at the 18th street Pala-Pala Restaurant, a group of people got his attention whom he learned were fi
re vic tims in two barangays. In his desire to help, he then gave each of them P1,000 as cash assistance.
As seen on the video uploaded by Team Sisson above, people are in queues as they wait for their turn to receive the money personally handed by the boxing champion and fighting senator. People have well appreciated him for sharing his blessings which he did for two days in a row.
This kind of gesture is not new to Manny. In fact, every time he wins a boxing match, he finds time to do the same as soon as he is back in his hometown. In a video by I Love Sox PH, My Mindanao below, Manny was giving money to his fellow men in Alabel, Sarangani Province last August as his ‘balato’ after a victorious win versus Keith Thurman.
Pacquiao was also in Bacolod to discuss projects with local officials.
The senator will be back to witness the MassKara Festival on October 17 and for the second home game of the Bacolod Master Sardines.
