Ryza Cenon shared how happy she is being a Kapamilya in a press con for the finale press conference for The General’s Daughter September 26.
The former GMA 7 actress said, “Sobrang blessed ko, “Parang for me, it’s the right decision na nakalipat ako dito kasi mas lumawak ’yung mundo ko, ang dami kong natutunan.”
In a separate interview by Pika Pika Showbiz, she said, “Hindi lang ako nakulong sa isang box.
Ryza transferred to ABS-CBN in April last year and was first given an acting role in the afternoon drama “Ipaglaban Mo” followed by an appearance in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. The General’s Daughter is her first big role where she plays a villain.
She started showbiz in 2005 after winning Star Struck Season 2 as the Ultimate Female Survivor. Her most notable role was being a mistress – as Georgia – in the drama Ika-6 na Utos where she received a lot of ba
shing and even threats.
Ryza grew up facing a lot of challenges in her li
fe. Her lost her mother when she was just two years old while her father had another family so she stayed with her aunt who became her guardian. Her childhood li fe was, as per reports, not ideal.
She explained in a Star Studio interview, “Kasi every two years lumilipat kami ng lugar, so wala kaming permanent na lugar.
She was also one of the few personalities who experienced depr
ession. She had a hard time coping up with intrigu es and b ashing because of her successive role as villain. However, she admits being able to embrace it now.
